Job summary

Touro College & University System is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing for Recruitment and Retention in New York City. You will lead initiatives to recruit and retain nursing students, design success plans with students, and coordinate onboarding with Admissions while supporting faculty and staff.

The role requires strong communication, collaboration across departments, and occasional evening or weekend commitments during peak recruitment periods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5 years’ experience in admissions, advisement, or student affairs.
• 2 years’ experience leading and coordinating the work of others.

Responsibilities

• Design programs and strategic initiatives to improve student retention after admission.
• Meet with students to design individualized student success plans.
• Coordinate test taking and other workshops to improve the student experience.
• Serve as first point of contact for prospective students about the nursing programs.
• Oversee orientations, career fairs, Bootcamps, and other departmental events.
• Chairs select committee meetings of the faculty in the absence of the Director or as otherwise designated.
