Job summary

The Ashton at Villages Crossing, a Sonida Senior Living community, is seeking a Medication Technician in Lady Lake, FL. You will set up and administer medications under physician orders, support residents with daily living activities, and monitor vital signs to maintain stability.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Florida Medication Technician certification.

Responsibilities

• Administers resident medications as ordered by physicians and per standards.
• Assists with personal hygiene including bedpans, urinals, baths, backrubs, shampoos, and shaves; helps with bathroom trips.
• Assists with activities of daily living: serving meals, feeding residents, ambulating, turning and positioning.
• Monitors patient stability by checking vital signs and recording intake/output.

**Eligibility based on location

• You will be responsible for setting up and administering resident medications as ordered by physicians and per professional standards of medication administration, and may supervise CNAs as directed
• Provides patients' personal hygiene by giving bedpans, urinals, baths, backrubs, shampoos, and shaves; assisting with travel to the bathroom; helping with showers and baths
• Provides for activities of daily living by assisting with serving meals, feeding patients as necessary; ambulating, turning, and positioning patients; providing fresh water and nourishment between meals
• Maintains patient stability by checking vital signs and weight; testing urine; recording intake and output information

Qualifications:

• Must be possess a valid and current certification in the State of Florida as a Medication Technician.
