Job summary

The Ashton on the Plaza, a Sonida Senior Living community, is hiring a Medication Aide to administer resident medications and support daily living activities in a premier Kansas City retirement community.

You will provide compassionate care, monitor health indicators, and assist with mobility, grooming, and feeding as needed. Competitive benefits are offered to eligible staff at this location.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed in Missouri as a Medication Aide and maintain current, unencumbered licensure.
• Demonstrates patient care abilities and compassionate service.
• Ability to follow physician orders and care protocols.

Responsibilities

• Set up and administer resident medications as ordered and per standards.
• Provide personal hygiene assistance and comfort measures for residents.
• Assist with activities of daily living (eating, mobility, bathing).
• Monitor vital signs and weight, document intake/output accurately.

**Eligibility based on location

• You will be responsible for setting up and administering resident medications as ordered by physicians and per professional standards of medication administration, and may supervise CNAs as directed
• Provides patients' personal hygiene by giving bedpans, urinals, baths, backrubs, shampoos, and shaves; assisting with travel to the bathroom; helping with showers and baths
• Provides for activities of daily living by assisting with serving meals, feeding patients as necessary; ambulating, turning, and positioning patients; providing fresh water and nourishment between meals
• Maintains patient stability by checking vital signs and weight; testing urine; recording intake and output information

Qualifications:

• Must be licensed in Missouri as a Medication Aide, and must maintain current and unencumbered licensure
