Job summary

Marquis Place of Elkhorn, a Sonida Senior Living community, is seeking a Medication Aide to join our team in Elkhorn, NE. You will set up and administer medications per physician orders and assist with daily living activities to support resident well-being.

The role requires Nebraska licensure as a Medication Aide and ongoing compliance with licensure. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including health/dental insurance, 401k with match, PTO, and paid training.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed in Nebraska as a Medication Aide and maintain current licensure.

Responsibilities

• Set up and administer resident medications as ordered by physicians and per professional standards; may supervise CNAs as directed.
• Provide residents' personal hygiene (bedpans, urinals, baths, backrubs, shampoos, shaves); assist with bathroom and showers.
• Assist with activities of daily living (meals, feeding, ambulating, turning, positioning; provide water and nourishment).
• Maintain patient stability by checking vital signs, weight, urine tests, and recording input/output.

Medication Aide Responsibilities Include

• You will be responsible for setting up and administering resident medications as ordered by physicians and per professional standards of medication administration, and may supervise CNAs as directed
• Provides patients' personal hygiene by giving bedpans, urinals, baths, backrubs, shampoos, and shaves; assisting with travel to the bathroom; helping with showers and baths
• Provides for activities of daily living by assisting with serving meals, feeding patients as necessary; ambulating, turning, and positioning patients; providing fresh water and nourishment between meals
• Maintains patient stability by checking vital signs and weight; testing urine; recording intake and output information

Qualifications

• Must be licensed in Nebraska as a Medication Aide, and must maintain current and unencumbered licensure
