Job summary

NYC Health + Hospitals seeks a Nurse Administrator to coordinate nursing projects and system-wide initiatives aimed at improving patient experience, staffing and care quality. The role requires strong leadership, policy involvement, and cross-department collaboration.

The position involves managing project lifecycles, aligning resources, and ensuring regulatory compliance across the health system, with focus on quality and safety in patient care.

Qualifications

• New York State license and current registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
• Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Nursing Administration or related nursing discipline; and three (3) years of satisfactory nursing experience, one (1) year in admin/supervisory capacity.
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Nursing; and four (4) years of satisfactory nursing experience, two (2) years in a clinical supervisory capacity.
• May require Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing project lifecycle from planning to delivery and reporting.
• Coordinate nursing projects and system-wide initiatives to improve patient experience and care.
• Collaborate with executive leadership, medical staff, and departments to implement nursing policies.
• Develop administrative procedures, metrics, and operational processes.
