Job summary

Hartford HealthCare is seeking a Senior Director of Nursing Practice to lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of governance structures and standards of practice to elevate nursing engagement and patient care quality.

Using evidence-based practices, the Senior Director will develop programs that foster a healthy work environment and support the journey to Magnet designation across our system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's and Master's degrees required; one must be in nursing.
• Minimum is several years of progressive leadership in nursing.
• Minimum five years in Nursing Practice or Nursing Professional Development.

Responsibilities

• Directs development, evaluation, and standardization of nursing policies and practice standards across settings.
• Analyzes system issues and data to identify needs and gaps in practice.
• Partners with quality and safety teams to ensure regulatory compliance and best practices.
• Facilitates local and system governance structures to empower nurses.
• Supports the organization’s Magnet designation journey.
