Job summary
MedStar Georgetown University Hospital seeks an experienced Clinical Administrator to lead the Division of Nursing, guiding evidence-based practice and professional development. This role ensures safe, cost-effective, culturally competent care across units and shifts.
Responsibilities include directing resources, coaching staff, and partnering with nursing leadership to meet regulatory standards and SPIRIT values in a Magnet-designated environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required.
- Master's degree in Nursing or health-related field preferred.
- RN license in DC required (state licensure/compact).
- 3-4 years of progressive nursing care experience required; leadership experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Direct and supervise clinical and administrative resources to ensure holistic, culturally competent, quality nursing care.
- Promote evidence-based education and professional development within the Division of Nursing.
- Collaborate with the Nursing Leadership team and hospital administrators to meet regulatory standards.
- Provide leadership and accountability during designated shifts across units or hospital-wide.
