Job summary

The School of Nursing at the University of Maine invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Associate/Full Professor to serve as PI on a DOE grant launching New England’s first PhD program in Nursing, providing academic leadership for program development, curriculum alignment, and faculty mentoring.

Responsibilities include teaching graduate and undergraduate courses, mentorship of doctoral students, pursuing research funding, and disseminating findings; after the grant, duties will be

Qualifications

• Earned PhD in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Active, unrestricted registered nurse license in the State of Maine.
• Record of peer-reviewed scholarly publications and professional presentations.
• Demonstrated program of research after PhD.
• Experience mentoring PhD students through dissertation process.
• Proven ability to secure research funding.

Responsibilities

• Lead PhD program development and implementation.
• Teach graduate and undergraduate nursing courses.
• Mentor doctoral students in research and scholarship.
• Disseminate scholarly work at professional venues.
• Develop partnerships with healthcare organizations and other institutions.
• Participate in service to the School and University.
