Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing with active RN licensure.
• Two years nursing experience; management experience preferred.
• BLS certification required; CPI certification within 90 days of hire.
• If enrolled, BSN must be completed within 3 years of enrollment.

Responsibilities

• Communicates administrative problems and actions to nurse leaders and senior leaders; conducts rounds to assess efficiency and satisfaction.
• Guides staff on compliance with state/federal healthcare laws and Nursing Practice Act; enforces policies.
• Coordinates shift communications via huddles/rounds to share information and improve dialogue.
• Monitors resource utilization to meet patient care needs and maintain staffing adequacy.
• Supervises nursing personnel, documents actions, and escalates issues to department leaders or Administrator-On-Call.
• Advises nurses on new or unusual treatments; interprets policies for staff, patients, and visitors; responds to emergencies.
• Coordinates shift management of patient flow and admissions/discharges with interdisciplinary teams.
