Qualifications

• Current license to practice Registered Professional Nursing in West Virginia.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire date.
• Hospital nursing experience desired; five years preferred.
• Preferred: specialty certification in nursing administration or related area.

Responsibilities

• Make administrative decisions on complex situations affecting hospital operations and bed coordination.
• Initiate actions in emergencies and keep the House Supervisor informed.
• Manage public relations and assist staff to resolve problems impacting patient care.
• Coordinate transfers and bed availability to optimize patient placement.
• Collaborate with departments to maximize patient throughput and staffing efficiency.
• Participate in Performance Improvement/Quality Improvement activities.
