Genesis HealthCare is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing to support the Director of Nursing in delivering efficient, high-quality care and ensuring excellent patient and employee satisfaction in a long-term care setting.

The role focuses on clinical operations, budget collaboration, staff development, and maintaining compliance with policies and regulations. On-call availability is required, with opportunities for growth within the organization.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current RN license.
• Minimum 3 years full-time or equivalent clinical experience; at least 2 years' nursing supervision in long-term care.
• Knowledge of MDS process, state nurse practice acts, and state/federal regulations.
• On-call availability is required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a clinical operational liaison between nursing units and the Director of Nursing.
• Oversee quality of clinical operations in nursing units, ensuring compliance with Genesis policies, standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to develop, allocate and control the nursing department budget.
• Foster continuous improvement and mentor staff to achieve top-of-license practice.
• Assist with nurse staffing, including performance evaluations, interviews and orientation.
