Job summary
Genesis HealthCare in the United States is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing to support the Director of Nursing with delivering efficient, high-quality care and positive outcomes for patients and residents. You will supervise clinical operations, mentor staff, and help manage nurse staffing, evaluations and orientation.
Strong candidates have RN licensure, 3+ years in clinical nursing with long-term care supervision, knowledge of MDS processes and relevant regulations, and on-call
Qualifications
- RN license by State Board of Nursing is required.
- Minimum 3 years full-time clinical experience; at least 2 years in nursing supervision in long-term care.
- Knowledge of MDS processes and state/federal regulations.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a clinical operational liaison between nursing units and the Director of Nursing.
- Responsible for the quality of clinical operations of the nursing units, ensuring compliance with Genesis policies and regulations.
- Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to develop, allocate and control the budget for the nursing department.
- Mentor staff to achieve top of license practice and foster continuous improvement.
- Assist with nurse staffing, including evaluations, interviews and orientation of nurses.
