Qualifications

• Active RN license in the relevant state or ability to obtain
• Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, or similar setting
• Prior supervisory or nursing leadership experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of clinical standards, resident care, and long-term care regulations
• Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing with overall management of nursing services and daily clinical operations
• Provide leadership and support to RNs, LPNs, CNAs and nursing staff
• Ensure residents receive timely, high-quality nursing care
• Monitor resident care plans and clinical documentation
• Support staffing, scheduling and appropriate nursing coverage
• Participate in hiring, orientation, and development of nursing staff
• Promote adherence to facility policies and regulations
• Assist with quality assurance, infection prevention, and resident safety initiatives
• Participate in surveys, audits, and regulatory activities
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team
• Communicate with residents and families about care needs
• Investigate and resolve clinical or resident-care issues
• Serve as clinical resource and hands-on leader
• Assume leadership in Director of Nursing absence
