Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Health in Fayetteville, NC, is seeking a Nursing Administration Manager to oversee patient placement coordination and bed management during shifts. Ideal candidates hold an Associate’s degree in Nursing with NC RN licensure, 1 year of management experience, and 2 years of clinical nursing.

Qualifications

• Two years of clinical nursing experience.
• One year of management or supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Makes rounds throughout shift to assess accommodation of patients and staff response to patient placement issues
• Communicates regularly with Patient Placement, Nursing Units and the Emergency Department to facilitate flow of patients being admitted
• Intercedes in difficult patient/family situations to provide support, public relations and problem resolution
• Takes needed action to facilitate departure of discharged patients
• Assesses staffing levels in consideration of patient acuity and make recommendations regarding interventions as indicated according to divisional staffing policies
• Communicates with Patient Care Manager as indicated during shift and completes reports needed for administration
• Monitors, directs and facilitates hospital operations including customer satisfaction, throughput, patient care processes and hospital functional capacity
• Other duties as assigned
