Job summary

Surgery Partners, Inc is seeking an Assistant Director of Nurses in Rhode Island to oversee day-to-day operations of the Surgery Center in partnership with the Facility Administrator.

The role focuses on planning, organizing, staffing, resource allocation, cost controls, and compliance across the OR, PACU and endoscopic/surgical settings.

Candidates must be a licensed RN with GI/endoscopy experience and some management exposure; strong communication and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current RN license.
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• GI experience is required.
• RN with OR/PACU or pre-admission in endoscopic/surgical setting experience.
• One year of ambulatory care management experience preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians by coordinating prepared service team members.
• Delegate tasks to professional, technical, and ancillary staff.
• Participate in performance evaluations of department personnel.
• Coordinate administrative duties to ensure staff functions.
• Coordinate materials, supplies, and equipment with the Director of Supply.
• Coordinate activity within the Procedure Rooms.
• Support AAAHC accreditation activities.
• Split time between staff staffing and unit management.
