Job summary

MOUNTAINVALLEY is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support the Director of Nursing in providing high-quality care to residents in a 24/7 setting. The ADON supervises licensed and non-licensed staff, coordinates nursing services, and ensures regulatory compliance while maintaining resident rights.

The role requires a BSN, current State Board of Nursing clearance, and 3–5 years of nurse management experience in long-term care. Travel and reporting duties are occasional.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred; state licensure required.
• 3–5 years of nurse management experience in long-term care.
• Maintain current nursing license and continuing education.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret regulations and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist DON in planning, developing and supervising nursing staff.
• Develop and implement nursing services, policies and procedures.
• Recruit, hire and train nursing staff.
• Provide back-up coverage for DON, RN and LVN staff.
• Oversee clinical operations and daily resident rounds.
• Ensure resident safety and respectful care; liaise with families and physicians.
• Attend staff meetings and report to DON; communicate regulatory changes.
