Job summary

Thornapple Manor in Hastings, MI, seeks a Nursing Supervisor to oversee day-to-day nursing activities during night shift, ensuring care in line with federal, state, and local standards. You will report to the Director of Nursing and work to maintain the highest quality of resident care.

Responsibilities include supervising nursing staff, participating in policy development, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring compliance with Nursing Service procedures.

Qualifications

• Nursing supervisor responsible for day-to-day activities in a long-term care facility.
• Knowledge of federal, state and local standards and guidelines governing long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day nursing activities during your tour of duty.
• Develop, maintain and update Nursing Service policies and procedures.
• Ensure Nursing Service materials reflect current regulations and guidelines.
• Coordinate nursing services with other resident services for continuity of care.
• Attend committee meetings and participate in Care Plan and Utilization Review processes.
• Oversee staffing, admissions, transfers and discharges; complete incident reports.
