Job summary

Messiah Lifeways is seeking an LPN for the night shift (10:45pm–7:15am) on weekends, with every weekend and alternating holiday coverage. The role focuses on assuring quality resident care, supervising nursing staff, and maintaining effective communication with families and the care team.

The ideal candidate holds a PA LPN license and has clinical experience; familiarity with electronic health records and Microsoft Office is preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid PA LPN license required.
• One year clinical experience preferred but not required.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, quality resident care and supervise nursing staff on assigned Neighborhood and shift.
• Initiate disciplinary procedures as needed for staff.
• Coordinate scheduling and transportation for residents and communicate with families and physicians.
• Plan and implement the resident’s care plan with ongoing revisions.

Shift: Night shift, 10:45pm to 7:15amStatus: Part Time, every weekend and every other holiday$6,000 Sign On Bonus available to those who qualify!Who You AreThe nursing LPN is charged with assuring the quality and continuity of resident care. While also being tasked with supervising the performance of all members of the nursing care team on a designated Neighborhood and shift.To be successful in this role you’ll need to have knowledge of/experience in the following:Proficiency in technology and systems management- Office Suite (Microsoft), POC, Electronic Health Records SystemsStrong Interpersonal and Communication Skills – able to communicate effectively with residents, families’ interdisciplinary teams, and external partners both in person and over the phoneEffective and Efficient- skilled in both verbal and written communication across diverse audiencesHighly organized and detail-oriented – maintaining accuracy and focus in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptionsThe ideal candidate must be willing to work every weekend from 10:45pm to 7:15am.What You’ll DoCooperate in providing a safe and pleasant environment and maintaining a high level of morale for residents and nursing personnelInitiate disciplinary procedures as needed for staffEstablish and maintain effective interdepartmental working relationships and promote guest relationsArrange for scheduling of appointments and transportation of residents to other departments or outside appointments Observe and evaluate symptoms and conditions of residents and assure that families and physicians are updated and physician orders are followedPlan, implement, and see to completion the resident’s plan of care.
