Job summary

Quest, Inc. in Florida seeks an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support clinical operations in an Intermediate Care Facility for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Reporting to the Director of Nursing, the ADON will oversee day-to-day nursing operations and mentor staff to ensure high-quality resident care. The role requires regulatory knowledge, collaboration with physicians, families, and community partners, and active leadership to promote safety,

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited program (Associate's or Bachelor's).
• Active, unrestricted Florida RN or LPN license.
• Minimum of two years of nursing experience.
• Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, ICF, or similar setting.
• Strong computer proficiency, including EMR.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily clinical operations and ensure high-quality resident care.
• Lead, mentor, and support nursing staff; foster a collaborative, accountable culture.
• Ensure compliance with AHCA, federal, state, and organizational regulations, policies, and standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and site leadership to support resident health outcomes and operational excellence.
• Conduct quality assurance reviews and support quality improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, training, and development of nursing staff.
• Oversee admissions, discharges, physician orders, medical appointments, and other services for residents.
• Oversee medication administration, infection prevention protocols, and clinical documentation standards.
• Build relationships with physicians, pharmacies, labs, guardians, families, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
