Job summary

gpac is assisting a respected healthcare facility in North Carolina to recruit an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON). This leadership role guides a dedicated nursing staff and ensures the highest standards of resident care in a collaborative environment.

The ADON will support the Director of Nursing, oversee daily nursing operations, mentor staff, and help maintain regulatory compliance. North Carolina licensure and CPR certification are required, with a compassionate,

Qualifications

• Active LPN or RN license in North Carolina (or ability to obtain).
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations.
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) preferred.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• A compassionate approach with a commitment to high-quality resident care.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and support nursing staff to foster a positive and effective care environment.
• Assist in overseeing daily nursing operations within the facility.
• Ensure delivery of high-quality resident care in compliance with federal and Wisconsin state regulations.
• Build strong relationships with residents, families, and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Support implementation of best practices and continuous improvements in clinical care.
• Assist the Director of Nursing with staffing, training, and performance management initiatives.
• Help maintain accurate documentation and regulatory compliance.
