Job summary

Legend Senior Living in Texas is seeking an Assistant Health Care Director to help lead our nursing team and ensure high-quality resident care. You will support clinical services such as medication management, health assessments, and supervising nursing staff to deliver excellent direct care.

The role involves recruitment, training, scheduling, and ensuring quality of care, with opportunities to step in for the Health Care Director as needed.

Qualifications

• Current nursing license (RN or LPN) and CPR certification as required by the state.
• At least 1 year of prior relevant experience.
• Supervisory experience preferred in senior living.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing the nursing department including recruiting, training, scheduling, and ensuring quality of care.
• Verify proper distribution and documentation of medication, treatments and orders.
• Participate in regular resident assessments and service planning, following up with ancillary care as needed; assist move-in/move-out processes.
• Provide direct care during health emergencies or to fill an open shift.
• Relieve Health Care Director in their absence and relay concerns to the Director.
