Job summary

Legend Senior Living is seeking an Assistant Health Care Director to lead the nursing team and support clinical services, including resident medication management and health assessments. You will supervise nursing staff and ensure high-quality direct care for residents.

The role involves coordinating with care teams, managing shift coverage, and participating in service planning to support Holistic Wellness and quality of life for residents. Evening/weekend availability may be required.

Qualifications

• Required: a current nursing license (RN or LPN) and CPR certification as required by the state
• Required: at least 1 year of prior relevant experience
• Prefer: previous supervisory experience, preferably in senior living

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the management of the nursing department including recruiting, training, scheduling, and ensuring quality of care
• Verifying the proper distribution and required documentation of medication, treatments and orders
• Participating in regular resident assessments and service planning, and following up with ancillary health care services as needed
• Assists with the move-in and move-out process including tours, orientation, evaluations and family communications
• Provides direct care when needed, such as during health emergencies or to fill an open shift
• Assuming the Health Care Director’s responsibilities in their absence, and relaying concerns to the Director
