Job summary

Legend Senior Living in Gainesville, FL seeks an outstanding Assistant Health Care Director to help lead the nursing team. You will support clinical services such as resident medication management, health assessments and supervise the nursing staff.

You will make a difference by ensuring residents receive excellent direct care, participate in assessments and service planning, and step in for the Health Care Director when needed.

Qualifications

• Current nursing license (RN or LPN) and CPR certification as required by the state.
• At least 1 year of prior relevant experience.
• Prefer previous supervisory experience in senior living.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the management of the nursing department including recruiting, training, scheduling, and ensuring quality of care
• Verifying the proper distribution and required documentation of medication, treatments and orders
• Participating in regular resident assessments and service planning, and following up with ancillary health care services as needed
• Assists with the move-in and move-out process including tours, orientation, evaluations and family communications
• Provides direct care when needed, such as during health emergencies or to fill an open shift
• Assuming the Health Care Director’s responsibilities in their absence, and relaying concerns to the Director
