Legend Senior Living is seeking an Assistant Health Care Director to lead the nursing team, oversee resident medication management, health assessments, and supervise staff to ensure high-quality direct care.

The role requires an active nursing license (RN/LPN), CPR as required by the state, and at least 1 year of relevant experience, with supervisory exposure preferred in senior living.

Qualifications

• Current nursing license (RN or LPN) and CPR certification as required by the state.
• At least 1 year of prior relevant experience.
• Supervisory experience preferred, especially in senior living.

Responsibilities

• Assists in managing the nursing department including recruiting, training, scheduling, and ensuring quality of care.
• Verifies proper distribution and documentation of medications, treatments, and orders.
• Participates in regular resident assessments and service planning, and follows up with ancillary health care services as needed.
• Assists with move-in/move-out processes including tours, orientation, evaluations and family communications.
• Provides direct care during health emergencies or to fill an open shift.
• Assumes Health Care Director responsibilities in their absence and relays concerns to the Director.
