Job summary

A community college in New York is seeking a full-time Professional Assistant (PA) for Nursing, starting Fall 2026. The ideal candidate will have a BS in Nursing and an active NYS RN license, with experience in a clinical setting and in nursing education. Responsibilities include setting up lab equipment, assisting nursing students, and maintaining lab organization and safety standards. Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing.
• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of one (1) year of clinical RN experience in an acute-care hospital.
• Experience in a nursing role providing support to students and unlicensed assistive personnel.
• Proficiency with basic office technology for documentation and inventory management.
• Knowledge of infection control principles and safe handling of medical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain equipment for lab and clinical sessions.
• Assist with clinical onboarding of nursing students and faculty.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and inventory management.
• Provide technical support to faculty.
• Participate in departmental and college committees.
