Job summary

Montgomery College is seeking three full-time Nursing Lab & Clinical Associates to support the Nursing program at the Takoma Park/Silver Spring campus (2) and East Campus Education Center (1).

The role supervises students in nursing skills labs, maintains lab equipment, and assists with program activities. Requires a BSN, MD RN license, 3 years acute care experience, and proficiency with EMR and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing and active RN license in Maryland or a compact state.
• Minimum of three years nursing experience in acute care settings.
• Ability to provide safe, competent patient care to acutely ill medical-surgical patients.
• Experience with electronic medical records and current medication delivery methods.
• Experience performing MS skills (injections, IV infusions, foley, wound care, central line care, suctioning).
• Ability to operate medical equipment (IV pumps, defibrillators, AEDs, hospital beds).
• Strong problem-solving, detail-oriented, and organized; MS Office proficient.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and guide nursing students in practicing skills according to established standards.
• Host skill review workshops and lab referrals.
• Evaluate student performance using standardized criteria and provide timely feedback.
• Maintain and operate on-campus labs and instructional equipment.
• Assist Lab Manager with onboarding, curriculum planning, and program activities.
• Promote the nursing program and build community relationships.
