Job summary

Astrya Global Medical Staffing is seeking a Labor & Delivery RN for a 13-week assignment in Hermiston, Oregon. Schedule is 7:00 PM–7:00 AM, with extension potential. Must maintain Oregon RN license and complete ACLS/NRP within 6 months.

Positions include competitive pay of $66–$71 per hour, weekly pay, and comprehensive benefits. Eligible for credentialing and travel support through our team.

Qualifications

• RN license in Oregon is required.
• ACLS and NRP certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• EFM certification required after Labor and Delivery training.
• CRASE training if travel assignment extends beyond 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care in the Family Birth Center setting.
• Communicate with physicians and staff about changes in patient condition and test results.
• Respond quickly to changes in patient condition or response to treatment.
• Initiate the computerized Plan of Care on admission.
• Perform general nursing duties in all departments with supervision.
• Float to other departments as needed to support patient care.
• Maintain current RN license in Oregon.
• Obtain ACLS and NRP within 6 months of hire.
• Obtain EFM certification after Labor and Delivery training.
• Complete CRASE training if assignment extends beyond 6 months.
• Support patient confidentiality and dignity.
• Deliver compassionate care addressing age, culture, and psychosocial needs.
• Collaborate with team to ensure patient safety and quality care.
• Assist in education and training as required.

Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a L&D for a temporary assignment in Hermiston, Oregon. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.

Responsibilities for a L&D:

• Provide direct and indirect patient care in the Family Birth Center setting
• Communicate with Physicians, Nurse Manager, and Co-workers about changes in patient clinical condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment
• Initiate the computerized Plan of Care on admission
• Perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision
• Perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature without loss of efficiency or composure
• Accept responsibility for the direction, control, and planning of patient care activities
• Make evaluations and decisions based on measurable or verifiable criteria
• Work independently as needed
• Recognize and uphold patient confidentiality rights and responsibilities
• Convey empathy and compassion to those experiencing pain, grief, or trauma
• Relate to others in a manner that creates a sense of teamwork and cooperation
• Communicate effectively and therapeutically with people from every socioeconomic background
• Incorporate guest relations into daily activities
• Provide care addressing the patient's age-specific, cultural, physical, and psychosocial well-being
• Participate in required education for DNV programs as applicable to position
• Float to other departments where qualified to perform patient care as needed
• Maintain current RN license in the State of Oregon
• Obtain ACLS and NRP certification within 6 months of hire
• Obtain EFM certification once trained in Labor and Delivery
• Complete CRASE training if travel assignment extends beyond a 6-month period
• Perform other related duties as assigned
