Job summary

Astrya Global Medical Staffing seeks a Labor & Delivery nurse for a 13-week contract in Lewistown, Montana. Shift is 7:00PM - 7:00AM, three shifts per week. Pay rate is $66 - $71 per hour. This assignment offers potential extension and comprehensive credentialing support.

Responsibilities include monitoring maternal and fetal well-being, managing labor progression, providing emotional support, and ensuring safe obstetric care. Montana RN license and certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Current Montana RN license.
• NRP, STABLE and BLS certifications active.
• Experience in Labor & Delivery nursing.

• Monitor maternal and fetal well-being throughout labor and delivery
• Manage labor progression and respond promptly to obstetric emergencies
• Apply clinical judgment and effective communication in high-stakes situations
• Provide emotional support to patients and families during labor
• Provide safe, efficient nursing care for L&D and obstetrics
• Administer medications within scope of practice
• Perform cervical exams within scope of practice
• Interpret fetal monitoring strips accurately
• Prepare patients for operative deliveries as needed
• Provide postpartum education to patients and families
• Promote a positive birth experience and optimal outcomes
• Maintain current Montana RN license and required certifications

Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a L&D for a temporary assignment in Lewistown, Montana. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.

Responsibilities for a L&D:

• Monitor maternal and fetal well-being throughout labor and delivery
• Manage labor progression and respond promptly to obstetric emergencies
• Apply strong clinical judgment and effective communication skills in high-stakes situations
• Provide emotional support to patients and families during labor and delivery
• Provide safe, efficient, and caring nursing services to achieve high standards of patient care for Labor & Delivery and Obstetrics
• Administer medications as appropriate within scope of practice
• Perform cervical exams within scope of practice
• Interpret fetal monitoring strips accurately
• Prepare patients for operative deliveries as needed
• Provide postpartum education to patients and families
• Promote a positive birth experience and ensure optimal outcomes for both mother and newborn
• Maintain experience in Labor & Delivery practices
• Maintain current Montana RN license
• Maintain current NRP certification
• Maintain current Stable certification
• Maintain current BLS certification
