Job summary

Jersey College seeks an experienced Nursing Instructor to provide high-quality nursing instruction and clinical education for LPN/PN and RN students. The role involves classroom, laboratory, simulation, and clinical duties, fostering a supportive learning environment and guiding students toward professional competencies.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN or higher, an active RN license, and at least 3 years of nursing experience with a passion for education and student success.

Qualifications

• RN license in the applicable state is required.
• BSN or higher nursing degree is required.
• Clinical experience relevant to taught courses and clinical experiences.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom, laboratory, simulation, and/or clinical instruction to LPN/PN and RN students as assigned.
• Provide clinical instruction at long-term care, sub-acute, and acute clinical sites.
• Create a positive learning environment that supports students' growth and professional development.
• Deliver instruction appropriate to the educational level and needs of LPN/PN and RN students.
• Supervise students in clinical settings and promote safe nursing practice.
• Evaluate student performance and clinical competence according to program standards.
• Implement evaluation methods to measure learning and progress.
• Prepare timely student progress and grade reports.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and documentation.
• Provide guidance, feedback, and support to promote learning outcomes.
