Texas A&M University-Victoria seeks a full-time Instructor of Nursing to support the RN to BSN and Concurrent Enrollment Nursing programs at the Victoria Campus, with a January 2027 start date.

We invite experienced registered nurses and educators who hold an MSN or doctoral degree and an active Texas RN license (or eligibility) to apply. The role emphasizes teaching, mentoring, and curriculum collaboration across online and traditional formats.

Qualifications

• Must hold MSN or doctoral degree in nursing from an accredited institution.
• Active, unencumbered Texas RN license or eligibility prior to employment.
• Professional nursing experience and the ability to teach and mentor students from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate nursing courses in the RN to BSN and Concurrent Enrollment programs.
• Teach courses appropriate to the candidate's education and professional expertise.
• Support registered nurses completing the BSN degree and students pursuing ASN-to-BSN pathways.
• Provide effective academic mentoring and guidance to nursing students.
• Incorporate evidence-based practice, quality and safety, leadership, and clinical decision-making into instruction.
• Participate in curriculum development, program assessment, and continuous improvement.
• Assist with student recruitment, retention, progression, and completion initiatives.
• Collaborate with nursing faculty, advisors, and college leadership to support student success.
• Develop and maintain relationships with community colleges and clinical partners.

Education

Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or doctoral degree in nursing

Active Texas RN license or eligible to obtain Texas RN licensure
