Job summary

Jersey College is seeking experienced Registered Nurses with an MSN or higher to teach and mentor LPN/PN and RN students. The Nursing Instructor will deliver classroom, lab, simulation, and clinical instruction, assessing student performance and guiding professional development.

The ideal candidate has strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to student achievement in a supportive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or higher nursing degree required.
• Strong knowledge of nursing education and student assessment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with students and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom, laboratory, simulation, and/or clinical instruction to LPN/PN and RN students.
• Provide clinical instruction at long-term care, sub-acute, and acute clinical sites.
• Create a positive and supportive learning environment for student growth.
• Deliver instruction tailored to the educational level and needs of students.
• Supervise and evaluate students in clinical settings and ensure safe nursing practice.
• Assess student performance and clinical competency based on program standards.
• Prepare progress and grade reports with timely documentation.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and meet deadlines.
• Stay current in nursing practice and pedagogy through continuing education.
• Collaborate with faculty, administration, clinical partners and campus staff.
