Job summary

Rasmussen University in Bloomington, MN is seeking a Master’s or Doctorate prepared nurse to teach MSN-level content and mentor nursing students. The instructor will teach across modalities, participate in curriculum development, and support student learning under the Nursing Administrator.

The role is full-time, generally 4.5–5.5 work units per quarter, with opportunities for professional development and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Nursing is required.
• Active Minnesota RN license that has never been encumbered.
• Active CPR certification by AHA or Red Cross.
• 1 year clinical RN experience required, 2+ years preferred.
• Previous teaching/training experience preferred.
• Proof of licenses/certifications and official transcripts required.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in various modalities while promoting Rasmussen University's vision and mission.
• Teach 4.5–5.5 work units per quarter, equating to a full-time schedule.
• Use effective teaching strategies and multiple techniques.
• Engage students and create a learning-focused environment.
• Align session objectives with course performance.
• Collaborate with the Dean and maintain classroom presence in student support.
