Job summary

Rasmussen University is seeking an accomplished MSN- or Doctorate-prepared nurse to join our Fargo nursing program as a Full-Time Instructor in the School of Nursing. The instructor will teach courses across modalities, guide students, and ensure robust program outcomes.

The role requires NCLEX prep oversight, ongoing student support, and collaboration with the Nursing Administrator. On-site campus duties include meetings, hours, and program activities with a strong emphasis on student success.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Nursing required.
• Active North Dakota and Minnesota RN license that has never been encumbered.
• Active CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
• 1 year clinical experience as an RN required; 2+ years preferred.
• Previous teaching/training experience preferred.
• Self-motivated, flexible, able to work in a team with minimal supervision.
• Excellent interpersonal communication, presentation and leadership abilities.
• Proof of professional licenses/certifications and official transcripts required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction in courses aligned with qualifications and expertise, as assigned by the school.
• Ensure all instructional activities, contact hours, and modality-specific duties are completed per policy, accreditation, and program requirements.
• Maintain weekly office hours to support student learning and address questions.
• Demonstrate consistent instructional presence based on modality and policy.
• Support student learning outcomes through curriculum implementation, assessment, and continuous improvement to ensure accreditation standards.
• Prepare students for NCLEX throughout the program.
• Full-time faculty teach a full workload; part-time faculty may teach up to 30 hours per week.
• Participate in quarterly professional development and campus meetings as designated by the Dean.
• Attend campus events and contribute to committees as assigned.
• Support new faculty onboarding as designated by the Dean.
