Job summary

Central Piedmont Community College is seeking a Nursing faculty member to deliver undergraduate nursing education across multiple campuses. The candidate will plan, teach, and assess courses, ensuring alignment with program outcomes and board requirements.

To qualify, applicants must hold a Bachelor’s in Nursing with an NC RN license and have substantial clinical RN experience; a graduate degree in nursing is required within five years.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required, valid RN license for NC.
• Four years or equivalent of full-time RN clinical experience in an acute care hospital setting.
• Graduate degree in nursing must be obtained within five years of initial employment.
• Within the first three years of employment, education in teaching and learning principles for adult education, including curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses across a multi-campus environment.
• Post and maintain regular office hours for student advisement and consultation.
• Serve as faculty advisor within the current college advisement system.
• Prepare, distribute, and submit syllabi and approved course outlines for all assigned sections.
• Provide instructional, laboratory, clinical, or other program coverage as needed to support continuity of instruction and student services.
