Job summary

Central Piedmont Community College is seeking a Nursing faculty member to teach and mentor in a multi-campus environment. You will design and deliver credit and non-credit nursing courses, prepare syllabi, and use instructional methods that support diverse student learning.

You will maintain office hours, advise students, and collaborate with colleagues on program development, assessment, and college initiatives.

Qualifications

• BSN required and RN licensure in NC.
• Two years of clinical nursing experience.
• For new hires, completion of teaching/learning education within five years.
• Preference for MSN or higher and education in nursing education.

Responsibilities

• Teach classes across multi-campus environment.
• Teach credit or non-credit courses within field.
• Maintain regular office hours for advisement.
• Serve as faculty advisor within college advisement system.
• Prepare and submit syllabi and course outlines.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information.
• Substitute for other instructors as needed.
• Participate in college committees and program activities.
• Contribute to curriculum development and program growth.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN)

Two years of full-time experience as a registered nurse in a clinical nursing practice

Current unrestricted RN license to practice in NC

Education in teaching and learning principles for adult education

Graduate degree in nursing (preferred or required within five years for new hires)

Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN)
