Job summary

Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is seeking a Nursing Informatics Specialist to lead patient care process and clinician workflow initiatives, focusing on EMR optimization and technology enhancements. Ideal candidates have Epic experience (ClinDoc/Stork/ASAP) and NI-BC certification within 3 years; BSN required with a preferred MSN. Travel to multiple locations may be needed.

Qualifications

• BSN degree from an accredited college/university.
• Minimum of three (3) years clinical experience with at least one (1) year in organizational EMR projects as SME/lead.
• Nursing Informatics Certification (NI-BC) within three (3) years of hire.
• Flexibility to travel to various locations.

Responsibilities

• Lead initiatives to design, develop, and implement EMR and technology enhancements.
• Collaborate with end users through facility-wide and system-wide committees to define clinical information problems and solutions.
• Promote evidence-based practice and workflow standardization across the system.
• Possibly lead projects and programs independently.
