Job summary

Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is seeking a Nursing Informatics Specialist who will lead the design and optimization of clinical workflows and EMR enhancements. The role focuses on end-user needs, clinician workflows, and system-wide standardization across acute and ambulatory settings.

The ideal candidate will have BSN, NI-BC certification within 3 years, and Epic experience (ClinDoc/Stork/ASAP) with the ability to travel to multiple locations as needed.

Qualifications

BSN from an accredited college/university.
Minimum 3 years clinical experience with at least 1 year participating in organizational EMR projects as SME/lead.
NI-BC certification within 3 years of hire.
Willingness to travel to various locations.

Responsibilities

Lead initiatives to design and implement EMR-enabled workflow improvements.
Determine clinical application needs across acute and ambulatory settings.
Collaborate with end users through facility-wide and system-wide committees to define information problems and solutions.
Promote evidence-based practice and workflow standardization across the system.
May lead projects and programs independently.
