Job summary
Hutchinson Regional Healthcare System is seeking an RN - Clinical Information Specialist to support the implementation of clinical applications within the healthcare system. The role focuses on ensuring systems meet functional nursing requirements and serving as a liaison between departments during development and installation.
The position emphasizes confidentiality and adherence to policies across all duties.
Qualifications
- Must have nursing background and be able to translate clinical needs into system requirements.
- Experience with clinical information systems is preferred.
- Strong communication between nursing, IT, and other departments is required.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and validate clinical needs during implementation planning.
- Know how the clinical applications operate with new/updated systems.
- Support nursing operations and care delivery during system changes.
- Participate in development, testing, and training of application functions.
- Assist in live conversions and screen modifications.
- Provide departmental support through all implementation phases.
- QA of application functions and development of user policies.
