Qualifications

• BSN nursing degree required; current NY RN license required; may require specialized certifications
• Current license to practice as RN OR NP in NY State OR licensed RN-PA per NYSED required
• 1–3 years clinical experience with general knowledge of QM principles, NYPORTS and JCAHO requirements
• Peri-Op/endoscopy experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Knowledgeable of Performance Improvement methodology used within the organization.
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of trends in Nursing Informatics and developments in hardware/software; supports users and process teams.
• Prepares Performance Improvement reports for care services presentations and benchmarks externally as needed.
• Assists in focus studies to measure patient care processes and outcomes against organizational goals.
• Coordinates investigations of state incidents/complaints, sentinel events, and data collection for corrective actions.
• Participates in quality-related projects; supports recommendations and implementation of corrective action; prepares monthly variance reports for leadership and committees.
• Uses office tech and databases to perform job functions; creates documents for presentations and storyboards.
