Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Clinical Nursing Student - Immersion to provide direct patient care under the guidance of an RN in accordance with policies and state regulations. The immersion program is temporary and focuses on enhancing clinical experience.

You will support the nursing process, develop critical thinking, and engage in educational opportunities while delivering bedside care and participating in hand-offs and delegated tasks after competency validation.

Qualifications

• HS/GED is required.
• Currently enrolled in a nursing program with immersion experience requirements.
• Experience as Patient Care Technician, CNA, or other medical experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Under direction of the RN, supports the nurse in applying the nursing process.
• Develops critical thinking through collaboration with the RN to ensure quality patient care.
• Seeks educational opportunities related to nursing practice and critical thinking.
• Provides basic patient care including care and comfort, records vital signs, personal care and mobility.
• Acts as liaison between patient and nurse to report changes or concerns.
• Provides accurate, timely documentation for patient care.
