Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health in Richmond, VA, seeks a Clinical Nursing Student - Immersion to provide direct patient care under the guidance of an RN, in accordance with regulatory and hospital policies. This temporary program enhances clinical experience for nursing students during immersion.

Under supervision, you will develop critical thinking, document care accurately, and collaborate with the care team to deliver high-quality patient services while supporting unit operations and patient comfort.

Qualifications

• Must have HS/GED.
• Currently enrolled in nursing program and completed immersion requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with nursing process under supervision.
• Develop critical thinking through collaboration with RN.
• Seek educational opportunities related to nursing practice.
• Provide basic patient care and record vital signs.
• Report changes or concerns to nurse.
• Deliver high level customer service to patients and families.
• Document accurately and timely for patient care.
• Participate in hand-off communications.
• Perform delegated tasks after competency is validated.
