Job summary

Olmsted Medical Center in Rochester, MN is seeking a Nurse Supervisor to coordinate and oversee nursing staff for quality patient care on the assigned shift. The role requires a Minnesota RN license, BLS/ACLS, and at least three years of nursing experience with supervisory responsibility.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited professional nursing program.
• Current Minnesota registered nursing license.
• BLS and ACLS certification.
• At least three years of nursing experience.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and directs the activities of nursing personnel on the assigned shift to ensure quality patient care.
• Assesses staffing needs based on input from charge nurses, patient classification, procedures, and staff availability.
• Coordinates activities of nursing and non-nursing personnel for operational efficiency on the shift.
• Serves as on-site management representative when managers are not present.
• Maintains patient safety and infection control standards on the floor.
• Addresses discipline or counseling issues as they arise on shift.
• Demonstrates professional conduct and upholds OMC core values.
• Retrieves and mixes medications after hours in a sterile environment when needed.
• Acts as interim surgical assistant during emergencies when required.
