Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health's St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo, OH seeks a House Supervisor to ensure continuity of patient care in the absence of unit nurse managers.

The role involves coordinating hospital staff, assigning patient care, and maintaining safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate holds an RN license (state or compact), BSN preferred, with 2 years nursing experience and leadership in a charge role.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in state they are working or covered by compact (required).
• 2 years nursing experience with 1 year minimum clinical experience (preferred).
• Charge nurse or management experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates activities of hospital personnel to maintain the continuity of a safe and efficient standard of care.
• Makes patient care assignments according to staff ability and patient needs.
• Evaluates care given by others under his/her direction and provides feedback to staff.
• Maintains accountability for own care and care delegated to others in line with ethical and legal standards.
• Seeks assistance from appropriate resources when needed.
• Visits the nursing units to oversee nursing care and evaluate patient condition.
