Responsibilities

1. Ensures optimal flow and utilization of resources (including, but not limited to staff, equipment, and supplies) to meet patient care needs. Promotes patient satisfaction by demonstrating extraordinary service. Works directly with leaders on operational issues impacting safety for patients and staff.
2. Facilitates the flow of clinical information for patient transfer and admission from external locations, ensuring continuous monitoring until admission. Ensures effective communication between external and internal providers for safe patient handoffs.
3. Manages patient flow to eliminate delays and reduce potential for diverts.
4. Participates in developing clinical protocols for the Hospital Admissions Center.
5. Develops a coordinated team approach with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff. Assigns priorities to ensure quality and service, acting as a resource for operational needs.
6. Oversees hospital operations by applying clinical knowledge to meet patient needs at appropriate locations with suitable levels of care. Manages staffing and unit operations to ensure safe, optimal patient care.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree required; current RN licensure in Washington required.
2. Minimum of three years of inpatient operations experience with increasing responsibility.
3. Strong prioritization, communication, active listening, and conflict resolution skills.
4. Preferred: BSN, experience in Emergency Medicine, Critical Care, or Telemetry, and knowledge of utilization review.
