Job summary

Stark & Stark is seeking a Paralegal for its Nursing Home Negligence Group in Hamilton, NJ. This full-time, on-site position supports attorneys and clients with discovery, pleadings, and case management. A paralegal certificate or related degree is required, with at least two years in civil litigation preferred.

You will work closely with legal teams, manage deadlines, and help prepare cases for settlement or trial. Strong writing and confidentiality are essential.

Qualifications

• At least two years of civil litigation experience.
• Experience in Plaintiff’s Personal Injury matters preferred.
• Associates/Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certificate required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools.
• Must demonstrate discretion, confidentiality and professional ethics.

Responsibilities

• Draft and respond to discovery requests, pleadings, and procedural motions.
• Manage case timelines and deadlines.
• Maintain professional communication with clients, opposing counsel, and third parties.
• Perform accurate data entry and case updates in Filevine.
• Support case investigations by identifying at-fault parties and assessing liability.
• Communicate with clients to gather information on injuries, treatment, and financial losses.
• Analyze medical records, billing documentation, and related materials to support claims.
• Identify and evaluate health insurance coverage and potential liens.
• Draft demand letters and other legal documents; strong writing skills required.
• Prepare cases for settlement, litigation, and trial, including exhibit and visual aid creation.
