Job summary

PACS is seeking a dedicated laundry/housekeeping attendant to perform general laundry duties in a nursing home setting. The role focuses on providing clean linen, maintaining sanitary conditions, and supporting resident comfort.

Typical responsibilities include sorting, washing, drying, folding, labeling items, and delivering laundry to rooms. The ideal candidate has a GED/HS diploma and up to 1 year of experience, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and follow procedures.

Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma is required or preferred.
• 1 year of experience in laundry/housekeeping is preferred.
• Ability to read and understand directions related to laundry/housekeeping procedures.
• Basic math skills are required.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform typical housekeeping duties.

Responsibilities

• Make available a quantity of clean linen for proper care and comfort of residents.
• Maintain linen in good repair and remove any linens with holes or stains.
• Collect laundry from residents daily or as needed.
• Label new resident clothing items as needed.
• Sort, treat, wash, dry and fold clothing and linens.
• Deliver clean laundry items to resident rooms.
• Follow all sanitary processes and procedures related to laundry duties.
• Maintain inventory of laundry supplies.
• Use all laundry equipment and supplies safely.
• Report laundry equipment issues to the Administrator.
