Job summary

PACS is hiring for a Laundry Aide to prepare and deliver clean linen for residents, sort and launder items, and ensure sanitary practices throughout the process. The role involves labeling clothing, managing inventory, and delivering to resident rooms in a facility setting.

Requires ability to read directions, basic math, and problem-solving. GED or HS diploma preferred with up to 1 year of related experience; no certifications required.

Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand directions.

Responsibilities

• Make available a quantity of clean linen for residents.
• Maintain linen in good repair and remove unusable items.
• Collect laundry from residents daily or as needed.
• Label new resident clothing items as needed.
• Sort, treat, wash, dry and fold clothing and linens.
• Deliver clean laundry to resident rooms.
• Follow sanitary processes related to laundry.
• Maintain inventory of laundry supplies.
• Report laundry equipment issues to the Administrator.
