Job summary

PACS is seeking a dedicated Laundry Aide to perform general laundry and housekeeping duties in our nursing home, ensuring clean linen and a sanitary environment for residents.

You will sort, wash, dry, fold, label and deliver linen, follow safety procedures, and report equipment issues. GED or HS diploma preferred; 1 year of experience is a plus; good reading and math skills required.

Qualifications

• Read and understand directions related to laundry/housekeeping procedures.
• Basic math skills required.
• Ability to read and understand instructions and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Make available a quantity of clean linen for residents.
• Maintain linen in good repair and remove damaged items.
• Sort, wash, dry and fold clothing and linens.
• Deliver clean laundry items to resident rooms.
• Label new resident’s clothing items as needed.
• Follow sanitary processes and inventory laundry supplies.
• Report equipment issues to the Administrator.
