Job summary

PACS is seeking a general laundry and housekeeping worker to perform a variety of duties and provide quality laundry service while keeping the nursing home sanitary and free from offensive odors. Responsibilities include stocking clean linen, sorting, washing, drying, folding, labeling items, delivering to resident rooms and maintaining inventory.

The role requires GED or high school diploma, up to 1 year of experience, basic math, and the ability to read directions.

Qualifications

• Education: GED or High School Diploma required; 1 year of experience preferred.
• Language Skills: Ability to read and understand directions related to laundry/housekeeping procedures.
• Mathematical Skills: Basic math skills.
• Reasoning Ability: Ability to problem solve and seek assistance when needed.

Responsibilities

• Make available a quantity of clean linen for residents.
• Maintain linen in good repair and remove stained/holed items.
• Collect laundry from residents daily or as needed.
• Label new resident clothing items as needed.
• Sort, wash, dry, and fold clothing and linens.
• Deliver clean laundry items to resident rooms.
• Follow sanitary processes and maintain inventory of supplies.
• Report equipment issues to the Administrator.
