Job summary

Valhalla Post Acute is seeking a dedicated laundry and housekeeping aide to support resident care in a nursing home setting. You will sort, wash, dry and fold linens, and deliver clean items to resident rooms while maintaining sanitary conditions and inventory control.

Qualifications include a GED or High School Diploma, with 1 year of experience preferred. You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and follow safety procedures in a team-based environment.

Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma.
• 1 year of experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand directions related to laundry/housekeeping procedures.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Make available a quantity of clean linen for proper care and comfort of all residents.
• Maintain all linen in good repair and remove from service any linen with holes and/or stains.
• Collect laundry from residents daily or as needed.
• Label new resident’s clothing items as needed.
• Sorting, treat, wash, dry and fold clothing and linens.
• Deliver clean laundry items to resident rooms.
• Follows all sanitary processes and procedures related to laundry duties.
• Maintain inventory of laundry supplies.
• Use all laundry equipment and supplies in a safe manner.
• Report laundry equipment issues to the Administrator.
